Local files stay local
Resomark is a native editor for Markdown and plain-text files. The files and folders you open are read and written on your device. Resomark does not upload your documents to Resomark servers.
To reopen folders you choose, Resomark stores security-scoped bookmarks and local preferences on your device, such as pinned locations, sidebar state, window size, and editor settings.
Website analytics
The Resomark website uses PostHog to understand anonymous traffic and download intent. We record page views, section views, language and theme changes, download button clicks, and Markdown format tab clicks. PostHog may process standard web analytics data such as page URL, referrer, browser, device, approximate location, and event timestamps.
We do not enable session replay or autocapture. We do not use advertising identifiers or user profiles, and we do not send document contents, filenames, local file paths, or email addresses through website analytics events.
App product analytics
Release builds of the Resomark app may use PostHog to understand which product surfaces are used, such as app launch, document open, save requests, reading mode, full-width mode, sidebar pins, find, diff controls, settings, and aggregated editor activity. Editor activity is summarized as counts and time buckets, such as read-only sessions, edit bursts, save count, and inserted or deleted character ranges.
App analytics events are anonymous and do not create user profiles. We do not send document contents, filenames, folder names, local paths, or selected text through product analytics events.
Crash diagnostics
Release builds use Sentry to collect crash reports and technical diagnostics so we can find and fix stability problems. These diagnostics can include crash stack traces, app version, operating system version, device and runtime details, performance diagnostics, and short internal breadcrumbs about app behavior.
Sentry is a third-party diagnostics provider. We use it only to collect crash reports and technical diagnostics needed to maintain and improve Resomark, and we require diagnostic data to be handled consistently with this policy.
Resomark removes Sentry user objects and request headers before sending events. We do not intentionally include document contents in crash reports or breadcrumbs. Diagnostics are used only to maintain and improve the app and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Support email
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include in your email, such as your email address, message, screenshots, logs, or sample files. We use that information to respond to your request.
